Delete your account

Hoppit: Habit Buddies · last updated: July 28, 2026

You can delete your hoppit account yourself, in the app, in three taps. If you can't get to the app, email us instead. Either way, here's exactly what happens to your data.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open hoppit and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

That's Profile → Settings → Delete account. It takes effect the moment you confirm — there's nothing to wait for and no one to ask.

If you can't open the app

Uninstalled hoppit, lost the device, or can't sign in? Email support@hoppit.app and ask us to delete your account.

Please write from the email address your account uses. That address is how we check the request is really yours before anything is deleted — it's the only proof we have when you can't sign in. If a request arrives from an address we can't match to an account, we'll write back and ask rather than guess.

What happens when you delete

What's deleted, what's kept, and for how long

Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account

You don't have to close the account to get rid of something. Here's what you can do yourself, and what each one actually removes:

Leaving a group is not a deletion. It stops you taking part and stops the notifications, but the check-ins and comments you already posted there stay as they are — your friends' streaks and their group's history are built on them.

The record of a check-in — the day it happened and its stamp — is kept even after the photo is deleted, because streaks and the calendar are built from it. If you want that history removed too, that's an account deletion, above. For anything else, email support@hoppit.app from the address your account uses and say what you'd like removed.
